The “L’Apartment” suite at L’Hotel, beautifully marries style and comfort, making for one of the most incredible 5-star stays in Paris. Throw in an hour of relaxation in the basement’s Turkish Hammam and steam room, and you are in for an absolute treat.
L’Hotel is the world’s first Boutique hotel and final home of Oscar Wilde. L’Apartment is the largest suite (at 45 sqm) and is complete with a terrace that overlooks the Parisian rooftops and the bell tower of Saint Germain-des Prés.
The exceptionally stylish interiors of the hotel were carefully pieced together by legendary designer Jacques Garcia. Fun fact: The décor of L’Apartment was inspired by Louis-Antoine the Cardinal of Noailles’s robes, with heavy red velvet drapes and silk fabric covering the walls. When you visit, you must take advantage of the generous bathtub for a relaxing end to the day and when morning comes, get your day started with breakfast in the sitting area or on the balcony.
P.S. This is not my first visit to L'Hotel. If you have a moment, take a sneak peek inside room “Reine Hortense”, where I stayed during my last visit to Paris. The lush, pink interiors ooze feminine charm, with fabric covering every wall, blanketing you within it’s comfortable embrace.
