Hey Guys,Set just a short walk from Earls Court underground station, Point a. Kensington is a small, boutique-esque hotel with a typical "Kensington" facade. As with all Point a. branches, this hotel is friendly and affordable.
As this is a recently-opened branch, everything felt very new and clean. The lobby is well-designed and welcoming, leading seamlessly into the breakfast area. I loved the automatic doors at the entrance, meaning no suitcase struggles!
The bedrooms themselves are extremely cosy. By cosy, I mean small! There is plenty of room for what is necessary - to sleep and shower. My partner and I found it to be a nice, cosy space for a takeaway Nando's and movie night! For what the rooms lack in size, they make up for in comfort. I found the hypnos bed extremely comfortable and we loved being able to connect our Netflix and Prime accounts to the large flat screen TV via screencast.We were originally placed on the second floor, in a room overlooking the back of the building and the surrounding gardens. However, after a little trouble with the air conditioning unit, we were moved one floor down, to the front of the building with a street view. Despite the minor mishap, the staff were extremely helpful and courteous throughout the problem, offering complimentary drinks whilst we waited. I couldn't fault the service!
The breakfast at Point a. Hotels is one of the things I really look forward to! There is a continental selection of pastries, fruit, juices, yogurt and cereal. It is buffet style, so you can help yourself. I love taking it up to the room to enjoy, though Point a. Kensington has a lovely seating area for breakfast guests.
