Experience-day gifting specialists, Buy a Gift, were kind enough to gift me one of their "Smart Boxes". Smart Boxes are basically a way of gifting someone a selection of experience days that the recipient can choose from. It was within the "Ultimate Time Together" Smart Box that I found the Harry Potter Studio Tour and Lunch experience and I couldn't say no!
I took along my good friend, Sean, to enjoy the epic day. Our journey started at Watford Junction station, where we hopped on the shuttle bus to the studios (£2.50 for a return journey).
We arrived promptly for the first tour of the day, and were greeted by a huge marquee sign that filled the length of the entrance. This was the start of a day filled with stomach butterflies, excited squeals and gasps of delight!I won't give too much away, incase you are planning your own trip, but what I will say is that this was truly one of the best days of my life! Not only was the tour itself extremely special and perfectly tailored for two Harry Potter fans, but I got to share the experience with someone who I care a lot about. Gifting experiences really is the best type of gift-giving!
Highlights of the tour for me include the Forbidden Forest, the Hogwarts Express train and filming my own flying sequence against a green-screen! (You can see the actual footage from this in my Harry Potter Tour YouTube video!)The tour itself, took us around three hours to complete (including gift-shop and Butter Beer breaks!) The voucher also included lunch at a local hotel which was a lovely addition. I know Buy a Gift also do the Harry Potter Tour voucher including transport from the centre or London, which is super handy.I'd love to know if you have been to the Harry Potter Studio tour before? If you have, what was your favourite bit? If not, are you planning on a trip soon?
